When I am not behind the lens or editing, you'll find me traveling to new places, exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula, at the local thrift store, taking care of my 70+ house plants, or hanging out with my cats and husband! I love all things creativity and expressing myself in various art forms.

I've always had an attachment to photos. I remember being a child and constantly going through the shoe boxes of film photos of memories I couldn't remember and of moments before my existence. My bedroom walls have always held my memories for me to admire daily.
After my father passed, I clung to the few photos I had of him - feeling like that was all I had left. I was gifted photos of him when he was young and longed to know that person. This is when I really started to consider photographs as a precious artifact to hold a moment in place long after we are gone. For me, photography isn't just a hobby or a job, but a way to gift the future with moments from today.
Now I carry the same film camera that took my childhood photos and get emotional over the memories I get to hold with it. Photos are not just for social media, but moments to share with your future descendants and yourself. I am so grateful to be trusted to capture all the important moments I get to be a witness to.
